Hello,

First, I hope that this is the right place to ask.

I'm posting this, in hope that you can help or redirect me to the right spot...

I'm a student on 3d graphics and I have a huge scene that I need to render. I use V-ray and 3ds max. It crashes the computer when I try to render a single frame of the animation. I need to render multiple frames before adjusting the final rendering, which is impossible because of the low ram memory I have:(

This problem, put me today to search for a solution, like, if it is possible to "connect" my computer to a network of computers that works as one, for each project everyone may have. Like, when I want to render a scene on my laptop, I want this rendering process to be splited "equally" to each connected computer on that network for the specific rendered frame. Hope that you understand my explanation.

My question is: can this be done, by connecting my pc to a rendering network and the 3ds max to directly take advantage on it when rendering? If you can explain or give me a starting point where to search for the answer...

I have a 2.1ghz t3500 processor and 2gb rams 32bit, :( which is very low, so i may need something double this size to be able to render anything, but no chance to buy a new machine, that's why I need to find a solution, kinda fast, because this project is my my final design thesis and more, it's will be a video presentation for a charity project. School for the poor children of Liberia.

I really need your help!!

Thank you very much,
Alex
