|Description||An event unlike any other|
I’m not the level of gamer that jumps up and down at the idea of playing a browser game. I love action. That doesn’t necessarily mean realtime strategy games - I like RPGs and TBS games mainly.
Yet over time, I discovered myself less in a position to enjoy these types of games. Sure, there’s a nostalgia vibe I felt whenever I saw a Let’s play, or while i started a casino game I used to play (and left it after an hour or so), but there were a feeling i needed something else. Gradually, I shifted my focus to games that want less attention resources, something I really could play inside my leisure time which is fairly interesting.
Browser games what you need. They’re light on any device, don’t require a setting up, don’t take up space or some time and you continue to feel you’re playing. There’s less action in them, but perhaps that’s to get the best, when you don’t take a look at many flashes per second from fighting animations. These days there are browser games for all those tastes, because industry is much more developed in comparison with some decades ago. You'll be able to probably locate a browser game that best suits you easily.
Most games are about fighting monsters, developing characters, exploring the world. That last one has always been my interest. The excitement of discovering something new is exactly what pushes me into going out there and…well, doing no matter what developers imagined I should do on the planet they created. And when you will get used to it, all you need do is gain levels, basically. That’s the pattern, and it’s sufficient. It creates a good haven to take pleasure in the world when you learned it, in places you attempt to reach a stage and nobody can push you down from your pedestal.
You may be a bit more adventurous and try out some sandbox type of games. They often get to the mature state (see above) eventually, or die, but they still need to offer you some satisfaction. They can’t upset you or bore you, right?
Then you arrive at just a little game called MagicDuel.
I can’t really describe the sport to you personally; if you get involved in it, you’ll discover why then. The feeling of an sandbox is overwhelming, and you will find basically no guidelines. It’s an empty world the place that the guidelines are made with the players themselves. I’ve been playing the overall game for a few years, i still feel I haven’t done anything within it. When you have absolute freedom, where do you turn by using it?!
All other games will throw some anchors and will limit the gameplay in some way - you'll be told what direction to go. MagicDuel draws some very vague outlines and allows you to do what you need, provided you don’t break some rules that must employ bug abuse or decency. You might be limited with what you're able to do only since the developers don’t obtain that a lot of time on their hands. I can’t imagine the actual way it would seem like should they could focus 100% on the game.
They don’t, mostly because MagicDuel takes a long time to get used to, and players don’t hang around much. I could vouch for that - it’s only by accident that we logged within the initial few days, but after having a week I had been hooked. I used to be still complaining it’s a boring game in those days, because I couldn’t wrap my head throughout the idea that a casino game enables you that much freedom.
It requires quite some time to acquire accustomed to that. I became a fan of Luc Besson (not any longer, sorry, Luc), the other day I stumbled across a video in which he was saying he doesn’t like games because things are all predetermined. That didn’t stop me from playing them, though the idea tied to me. This is why, while i encountered MagicDuel, I remembered it. I had been thrown on the reverse side from the spectrum; I had been standing there, asking myself what was I supposed to do. I was begging for directions, for guidelines and tutorials. I didn’t want freedom, I didn’t comprehend it, I didn’t imagine it being possible within a game.
